Dear Members,
We wish to inform you of another considerable achievement for our organization, as part of its ceaseless efforts to maintain the interests of its members.
Several months ago, the Ministry of Finance published a call for recommendations, in accordance with its authority by law, asking the Federation of Engineers, Architects and Graduates in Technological Science in Israel to recommend architects and engineers for the role of advisors in local committees. Sadly, this has resulted in a state where independent engineers and architects in Israel—IOCEA members and non-members alike—were prevented from applying to the position.
In light of this, we wish to update you that recently, following contact with the Minister of Finance, the legal counsel of the Ministry of Finance has clarified that in order to attain recommendations for member appointment in planning and construction committees, all relevant professionals should be contacted, allowing equal opportunity for application even for those who are not members of a union or organization.
The IOCEA will continue to maintain the interests of its members, as it does daily.
Sincerely,
Lior Bar-On, Adv.
General Manager
