We are happy to report another significant achievement by the IOCEA in its unrelenting efforts to maintain the interests of its members.
Following intensive organizational work with the accountant general department at the Ministry of Finance, we are happy to report that the new accountant general rate (valid from 01.01.2017 – accountant general order no. 13.9.2, rates for external contractors,
for details please contact IOCEA offices), included a provision added to section 2.7 concerning the rates, according to which "an external provider employed as project manager in planning and construction work, will be categorized, for the sole purpose of determining rates, as a 'construction work planner' in accordance with the relevant categorization”. For your attention, this provision references the high rate level, as provide in Section 2.1.
In accordance with this addition, and as aforesaid, in light of the organization’s unrelenting efforts with the accountant general’s office’s most senior entities, from now on, project managers in planning and building work will receive their payment in accordance with the rates for ‘construction work manager’, rather than be subject to executive advisor rates (as done by most public entities thus far).
The IOCEA will continue to promote action with different government ministries, for the benefit of its members.
